Costa Rica Real Estate-A Booming Market

Posted by

Interest in Costa Rica real estate has boomed throughout the world, as more and more developers are flocking to the area to take advantage of low real estate prices and ideal locations for the development of vacation and retirement homes. In experiencing and enjoying the entertainment and taking advantage of everything that Costa Rica has to offer, the Costa Rica real estate market is aimed at every Costa Rica user who has ever dreamed of traveling to faraway places and living in a faraway land. Living in Costa Rica is easy because the real estate is relatively cheap compared to other developed countries. This new developed and soon to be developed area of real estate is a booming industry in Costa Rica, as more attention is focused on the area from around the world.

As more and more users are brought to the Costa Rica areas popular with new and returning visitors, the worldwide attention causes the property values in the Costa Rica area to increase. As the value of property in Costa Rica increases, it becomes clearly evident that the time for investing in Costa Rica real estate and real property is certainly the present, since the passage of time only increases the chances that the value of the property will continue to climb.

One of the biggest reasons for the booming real estate market in Costa Rica is the fact that the local government is so lenient and that property owners retain such liberal rights. With this focus on the rights of the individual and minimal taxation of property, Costa Rica has emerged as one of the favorite locations of new and existing real estate investors in an attempt to locate and identify new markets. With Costa Rica at the forefront of the real estate boom throughout the world, it is a prime vehicle for real estate investment and expansion, as the amount of undeveloped land and territories inside the lush Costa Rica coastal region and surrounding area ripe for development is staggering.

Currently, the rush to take advantage of Costa Rica available real property and real estate is minimal, but as the area becomes more and more popular, there are more and more visitors and vacationers as well as those moving to the area or those investing in property in the area. While it is certain that the Costa Rica area property values will improve over time, it is uncertain how much longer the availability of real property will hold out in the Costa Rica area.

The fabulous coastline stretches for 170 miles along Spain’s East Coast, packed with beautiful landscapes and the best beaches in Spain, awarded the Blue Flag because they are the cleanest and safest beaches in Spain.

The area enjoys a privileged climate and this enables the farmers to produce 4 harvests of fruit and vegetables each year. Nature lovers will love the regions wild life in the numerous protected reserves and parks. The Torrevieja/La Mata reserve around both lagoons ("Las Salinas") is home to many protected species of bird e.g. the Flamingo and the Montagu Harrier. These lagoons date to the 12th century and are the most important in Europe. Salt production is a major industry in the region and is exported throughout Europe.

There are numerous beautiful marinas all along the coast for those of a sailing persuasion. A short drive inland and you can enjoy glorious un-spoilt country side. Alicante and Cartegena are beautiful coastal cities in the south east and to the north east is Valencia and Barcelona. Murcia and Elche are a short distance inland in the south east. There is a wealth of Spanish history to indulge in, and a vibrant, modern culture to enjoy with excellent shopping areas. There are street markets in different towns in the region each week and you will find everything from genuine Spanish hand craft to inexpensive leather goods, shoes, bags, ceramics and silverware. There is also a huge range of fresh locally produced vegetables and fruit.

Healthy Climate:

The World Health Organisation has recognized the Costa Blanca as one of the healthiest places to live in Europe. Apart from the long hours of sunshine and the dry climate, the nearby salt lagoons of Torrevieja, Alicante and San Pedro draw moisture from the air creating a micro climate. This type of climate is very beneficial to people suffering from rheumatism, arthritis, asthma and skin related conditions such as psoriasis. The waters of the lagoons are said to have curative properties and it is a common sight to see people applying the dark mud to their bodies and taking medicinal baths.

Health Care:

The quality of the health service in Spain is of a very high standard. Several of the hospitals in the region are recognized as among the best in Spain. There are a large number of medical clinics (centro salud) in the area and these centers operate 24 hours each day. Visitors and non-residents are entitled to free medical attention on production of the E-111. This form is available through your local government/health office.

Semana Grande in Bilbao

One of the best ways to experience Spain is to take part in its highly varied cultural festivals, celebrating the history and tradition of each region. One of the best is the Big Week, or Semana Grande, in Bilbao, which draws 100,000 visitors each year. Taking place in the third week of August, it features the best of Basque culture, with everything from a strong-man competition to giant puppets parading through the streets.

An increase in flight options

There are now numerous budget airlines offering cheap flights to Spain, and the number of destinations is set to increase this year. For example, the Spanish low cost airline Vueling is adding new routes from Cardiff to Spain beginning in 2012, and Ryanair is rolling out a flurry of new flight options to destinations including Barcelona, Ibiza, and Madrid beginning in March. Jet2 is also adding budget-friendly flights to their roster this year, including a route from East Midlands to Malaga.

Nearby balsam lake is popular for swimming and fishing. At Burleigh falls, who could resist a place called the lovesick café? It’s a typical country shop with food, souvenirs, fishing tackle and the like.
The district has some interesting parks as well. Petroglyphs provincial park (705-877-2552) has probably the best collection of prehistoric rock carvings in the country. Rediscovered in 1954, there are reportedly 900 figures and shapes carved into the park’s limestone ridges.

The portions of the collection which are easy to view are much smaller than the figure 900 might suggest, and though interesting, it is not an overwhelming site. The most visible have been enclosed to protect the rock from acid rain, a serious problem over much of Ontario. The area and small lake within the park remain important spiritual sites for the local native Indians.

Boasting the best weather of the Spanish Costas, Brits have been lapping up the tourism offering on the Costa Blanca since mass tourism took off 50 years ago.

Benidorm quickly became a holiday favourite back then, and today it still draws thousands of holidaymakers who love nothing better than beaches, bars and buoyant nightlife.

Holidays in Costa Blanca can begin at one of the region's three airports: Alicante (ALC) in the centre; Valencia (VLC) in the north; or Murcia (MJV) in the south.

Notable destinations along this coast are the seaside resort of Torrevieja; historic Murcia which is slightly inland; and the city of Alicante, where regular fiestas bring the streets to life. The city's marina is a pleasant place for a bite to eat and a drink, while shopping in Alicante is something of a sport.

Wherever you choose to stay, you'll find villa holidays, self-catering breaks, and holidays in high-end hotels - plus plenty of opportunities to relax at the spa or take to the greens and enjoy a round of golf.

And if spas and golf breaks get the kids groaning, just remind them that on the Costa Blanca there are plenty of lively theme parks such as Terra Mitica, on the outskirts of Benidorm, and ample opportunities to splash about in water parks such as Aqualandia.

Whether you're travelling as a group, a family, or a couple, hiring a car is a really great idea to explore the best of what the Costa Blanca has to offer. Having your own transport will allow you to drive inland to the mountaintop town of Guadalest or check out the palm trees of beautiful Elche.
